This month’s featured video was taken in 2012 on my trip to Spain, more specifically in Salamanca.
With stunning architecture, beautifully crafted gardens, a visit to Sevilla in the south of Spain is not complete without a royal palace tour. Real Alcázar, is the oldest royal residential complex in Europe. Walking through the grounds it is easy to see how the palace is the most beautiful with a mix of Muslim, Arabic, Gothic and Spanish architectural influences and design.
The World Cup was an event for Spain as they won 4 – 0 against Italy in 2012. I was in Valencia on the evening the game was played and captured the excitement and jubilation of fans as they made their way out to celebrate. Continue reading
This week we are going to play a game called “find the frog” or in Spanish “Rana de Suerte” which means Lucky Frog. A game that tourists and students are drawn into when they visit the Universidad de Salamanca in Spain. Legend says that if one can find the frog hidden in beautiful stone carvings on the university building’s facade then that person will have good luck, find true love or marry within a year.
From panoramic Swiss-like views to celebrity spotting, San Sebastian has something for everyone. So close your eyes and open your ears and other senses. The sound of waves crash against the seawall.
