Whenever I travel there are three items which I have found to be the most useful. These items are versatile and you can pack them into any size bag.
This circular piece of plastic is not only a social butterfly, it can double as a seat, plate or a security shield in your bag. I like to place it in the front of my daypack to act as a shield to protect the items inside from pushy crowds. Oh, and of course, it can be used to share a game with new friends.
Possibly the most versatile piece of fabric you can pack into your bag. It has so many uses depending on your creativity. It can be used as a scarf, towel, seat, skirt, bag and a host of other things you will discover the more you carry it.
Traditionally used to protect you from rain, but the umbrella can double as a sunshade and more creatively as a weapon. I have always carried an umbrella with me, no matter what the season. Especially with the unseasonable weather around the globe right now. Fortunately, I have not yet had to employ the umbrella’s defensive capabilities yet.
